Details

Argotect is an easy-to-use substance that protects silver from firestain. Firestain occurs when silver is heated by annealing and soldering. Mix with methylated spirits or water with a small amount of washing up liquid to form a thick creamy consistency. Apply to the silver with a soft brush covering all the piece, to remove the Argotect quench the piece in hot pickle and rinse in hot water.
