This replacement Heating Element is for the Microplate Unit. This heating element converts electricity into heat by the process of Joules heating (resistive). An electric current is passed through the heating element, this encounters resistance and this produces heat. The temperature can be adjusted by removing the plastic cover, then changing the settings.
